Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise project execution
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, and framing components safely and efficiently
- Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, framing structures, or performing concrete forming as needed
- Support skilled roofers with tasks like caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and masonry work
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while ensuring quality standards are met
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction, roofing, or related trades is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and basic construction techniques
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and working at heights safely
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical instructions is a plus
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail
- Basic handyman skills such as plumbing, carpentry (including trim carpentry), welding or tile laying are advantageous
- Willingness to learn new skills in areas like metal stud framing, restoration work or masonry
