Process Chemistry focuses on analytical support of petrochemical and renewable energy process research projects. Role
Objectives of this Role:
- To control and monitor management of samples for the department.
- Gather, and report results of sample analyzed. Be proficient with various PC software applications to manage samples and lab supplies.
- Keep a well mentioned are for samples for both internal and external analyses.
- Help keep chemistry labs in good working order with needed supplies.
- Communicate with senior staff, chemists, and project managers regarding samples and lab.
- Maintaining samples and their analyses and results for samples in lab not directly performed in lab.
- Helping maintain consumable inventories.
- Physical testing including measurements for pH, specific gravity TOC, titrations and other lab testing.
- Supervising technicians and managing their training for various testing.
- Communicating daily with senior staff/management and PMs.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent or an Associates in Chemistry or related.
- Shift work required.
- 2-3 years: Serving as a lab technician or similar in chemical industry.
- 2-3 years: Performing lab test
- 1-2 years: Sample control, organization, handling pertaining to sample management, including organizing the results.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
