Position: Float Pool – Acute Dialysis RN--- NO CALL OR WEEKENDS.
*** This position will require some driving, Float Pool will be required to cover: Prescott, Flagstaff and Phoenix.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our float pool team. In this role, you will provide direct dialysis care in various acute and post-acute care settings, helping patients receive life-sustaining treatment with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in acute dialysis settings within Acute Care and Rehabilitation Hospitals.
- Perform clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Administer medications and monitor patients for response and side effects
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families about dialysis treatment and home care best practices
- Monitor vital signs, fluid status, and overall patient responses to dialysis
- Accurately document care and patient progress in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Ensure safe airway management during dialysis treatment
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care after treatment
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years’ dialysis experience, preferably in acute care settings
- Strong skills in medication administration and patient monitoring
- Proficient with dialysis equipment and protocols; experience with Fresenius-T machines is required
- Comfortable with EMR documentation
- Ability to safely lift and transfer patients
