Duties
- Conduct regular foot patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor surveillance systems and perform visual inspections to ensure the integrity of security measures
- Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, following established emergency response procedures
- Write detailed incident reports documenting suspicious activities, breaches, or accidents accurately and promptly
- Manage access control systems to verify identities and regulate entry for authorized personnel and visitors
- Perform background checks on individuals when required to ensure compliance with security protocols
- Utilize conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety
Requirements
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with familiarity in surveillance and physical security practices
- Valid firearm handling certification and experience with Taser use, AED operation, and CPR/First Aid certification
- Strong knowledge of emergency response procedures, incident report writing, and compliance with security regulations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when necessary
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to remain calm under pressure during conflicts or emergencies
- Proficiency with access control systems and performing background checks as part of security protocols
- Physical fitness to sustain long periods of patrolling on foot and respond effectively in high-pressure situations
