What are the responsibilities and job description for the Funeral Motorcycle Escort position at Southwest Motorcade Services?
Southwest Motorcade is looking for experienced Motorcycle riders. We provide motorcycle based, Funeral Escort services to many locations in and around Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino counties & the San Gabriel Valley area.
Requirements:
Employees must have valid Motorcycle License. Clean DMV record for the last 3 years.
Preferred Candidates will have:
3 Years of motorcycle riding experience, a motorcycle safety course, traffic control experience, police motor experience, and / or previous funeral escort experience.
Employees will be required to own an approved traffic escort motorcycle with emergency lighting and air horn. Applicants who lack the experience or equipment necessary should still apply. We are open to training the right applicants and may be able to help qualified applicants obtain a Motorcycle.
Duties:
Customer service, riding a motorcycle in heavy traffic conditions (lane splitting is a must), performing traffic control, operating a radio, must be able to stand for 4 hours, comfortable with public speaking, riding for extended periods of time, being able to ride in all weather conditions.
We offer Ride-Along's for those interested in learning about the position. Ride-Alongs will be in a personally owned vehicle. The applicant will be part of the procession so they can observe the operations.
