Southwest Montana Community Health Center is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to join our dedicated clinic team!What You’ll Do:As a Patient Access Specialist, you’ll be the first point of contact for our patients—providing a welcoming experience while managing essential front-desk and administrative tasks. You’ll:Greet and check in patients.Schedule appointments and manage reminders.Verify insurance and financial eligibility.Collect and post payments.Maintain accurate records using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.Make a meaningful impact on your community.You’ll work closely with providers, departments, and patients to ensure smooth clinic operations and exceptional service.What We’re Looking For:A high school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).Strong customer service and communication skills.Attention to detail and ability to multitask.Comfort with computers and office technology.A team player with a positive attitude and commitment to confidentiality.Experience in healthcare or with Epic systems is a plus-but not required. We’ll train the right candidate who brings professionalism, empathy, and a willingness to learn.Physical Requirements Summary:Work Environment:Pleasant office/clinic setting with minimal hazards. Temperature-controlled (heated or air-conditioned).Communication Needs:Clear speech and acute hearing required for effective interaction with staff and patients.Work Schedule:M-Th 7:30-5.Physical Activity:Walking: ~2 hours/day.Sitting: ~4-6 hours/day.Light to moderate physical effort.Lifting/carrying: Up to 20 pounds.Frequent reaching, bending, stooping.Manual dexterity for handling objects.Talking, hearing, and seeing required.
