Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Hospital
Administrator, Office Manager and Managing RN, uses the nursing process to safely provide patient care and patient education.
Workload will be determined by clinic's appointment schedule, staffing levels and the needs and priorities of the Department. Must be willing to be reassigned within dept or willing to float to another dept.
Assignment to another Dept is possible and is established by daily review of overall outpatient clinics appointment schedules and staffing needs.
The
LPN will be assigned up to 40 hours per week according to the needs of the dept and staff.
Some weekend work may be required.
The LPN is expected to function within the LPN's scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the clinic and organization.
Will be responsible to assist the RN Mgr and Office Manager with orientation and preceptorship for technicians and clerical staff assigned to Hospital.
Must be able to work and relate in a professional, non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors.
Will be responsible to document clinic patient care given, assist with review and maintenance of patient chart per clinic policy, and assist with accurate and timely entry of patient data, orders, and charges into computer system.
Attendance to yearly mandatory education requirements is nonnegotiable and will be the responsibility of the employee to arrange and attend sessions.
