What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Cleaner and packing position at Southwest Metal Spinning, Inc.?
Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities:
Must be bilingual, Spanish and English.
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Various job duties in the materials department including cleaning of parts, packaging and getting them boxed & ready on a pallet.
- Cut material down to specific sizes per instructions.
- Operate a square and circle shear.
- Operate a mechanical punch press to make small holes on sheet metal and formed parts.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, and counting accurately.
- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
- Pulling, packing, cleaning and loading of parts to be shipped to customer.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
- Must be able to lift at least 40-60 pounds
- Must be able to stand for the entire 8 hour shift.
- Must have knowledge in reading blue prints with part measurements.
- Must show up on time and be ready at work station by the time bell rings.
- Must be willing to work in a fast paced work environment.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
