Butcher

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our team. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing various types of meat for sale or use in our kitchen. Your attention to detail and knowledge of food safety regulations will ensure that our customers receive high-quality products. Duties: - Cut, trim, and prepare different cuts of meat according to customer preferences or restaurant specifications - Ensure that all meat is properly packaged, labeled, and stored - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the butcher area - Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed - Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with their meat selection - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meat preparation for menu items - Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest level of quality and safety Qualifications: - Previous experience working as a Butcher or in a similar role within the food industry - Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and different types of cuts - Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices - Ability to handle knives and other cutting tools safely and efficiently - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Strong customer service skills to assist customers with their meat selection - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
