Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining and growing customer relationships, responding to inquiries, and processing orders for construction equipment and related products. This role plays a key part in driving inside sales, supporting the outside sales team, and improving overall sales efficiency. A proactive sales approach, strong customer focus, and ability to collaborate across departments are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Lead Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing outstanding service and support to meet their equipment needs.
- Qualify all incoming JCB leads from JCB platforms, company website, and online store. Log results in the CRM and forward follow-up needs to the VP of Sales, Branch Manager, and relevant Territory Sales Managers.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person; process orders accurately to ensure timely delivery and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions using the company’s CRM system.
Sales Support & Coordination
- Assist with JCB quotes for all SWMH Sales Representatives.
- Collaborate closely with outside sales, service, and internal departments to ensure seamless customer experiences and resolve issues efficiently.
- Manage and update the JCB online store pages, including inventory and sales pricing in coordination with the VP of Sales.
- Upload and market new trade-in equipment to the SWJCB website with complete photos and pricing. Coordinate with sales reps, branch managers, and internal staff for media collection.
Bids & Market Intelligence
- Manage bid search engines (e.g., BidPrime, BidNet) for JCB, Dynapac, Avant, and related products.
- Maintain and refine bid search parameters, conduct monthly manual searches, and stay up to date through continued training.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and product developments to identify new opportunities.
Sales & Product Expertise
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of construction equipment and products offered.
- Provide customers with detailed product knowledge, including features, benefits, and application guidance.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through proactive outreach and engagement.
Experience & Education
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in construction equipment or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, but not required.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Proficiency in CRM systems (preferred)

Wage range DOE: Base Salary $50k to $60k eligible to earn commission
