What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transit Bus Driver, Montgomery County IA position at Southwest Iowa Planning Council?
Southwest Iowa Planning Council is currently accepting applications for part-time SWITA Drivers for Montgomery County. Position may include late night/early morning hours. We are looking for a couple good drivers.
As a SWITA Driver, you will be responsible for the operation of a car, van, or bus that picks up and discharges passengers to various destinations.
Starting wage is $17.00 per hour with some hours qualifying for a shift differential of $5.00 per hour. Benefits include IPERS, PTO and flexible schedules. Other available benefits are Vision Plan, Dental Plan and FSA.
DRIVER DUTIES
*Maintaining communication with the dispatcher,
*Maintaining scheduled route and trips as directed by the dispatcher,
*Ensures the safety of passengers while in route to their destination,
*Assists passengers needing help boarding and departing the vehicle,
*Performs pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections,
*Maintain bus cleanliness
A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class C with Passenger Endorsement, is required. If you do not have we will assist you in obtaining this license after an offer to hire has been made.
QUALIFICATIONS
*Ability to obtain/maintain CDL Class C with Passenger Endorsement
*Ability to pass a CDL Medical Exam
*Pass a pre-employment drug test
