Program description:
Southwest Human Development is seeking an Early Head Start Child Care Partnerships (EHSCCP) Program Manager. This individual will support systems development within local Early Head Start Child Care Partnerships in order to successfully plan and implement quality outcomes.
In this role you will:
- Manages a designated group of EHSCCP contracted partners who have enrolled EHS children and families
- Works with EHSCCP partner Directors to transfer the program features and management systems to deliver compliant and quality EHS services to enrolled children and their families
- Mentors EHSCCP partner Directors to develop, adopt and implement the SWHD EHSCCP Quality Continuum framework which supports the full implementation of the HS Performance Standards
- Initiates the leadership skill development with EHSCCP partner Directors to transfer management skills to sustain programmatic features within contracted EHSCCP sites to achieve the delivery and adoption of program values for quality EHS services to be integrated with existing EHSCCP partner program site’s organizational culture
- Supports the development and promotion of systematic and sustained programmatic change within EHSCCP contractors
- Collaborates with EHSCCP partner Directors and site leadership to ensure that high quality recruitment, enrollment, 30, 45 and day screening and assessment occur
- Collaborates with EHSCCP partners to ensure financial compliance and infrastructure is developed and maintained to achieve enduring quality outcomes with EHSCCP partners
- Mentors, models, monitors, and technically assists EHSCCP partner sites to engage and strategically utilize the Quality First Technical Assistance providers, SWHD EHSCCP project consultants and other community resources to sustain quality improvement outcomes and benefits to enrolled children/ families
- Mentors, models and technically assists EHSCCP partner sites to deliver services that achieve (One Child, One Family, One Team)
- Assists Senior Program Manager and Director in planning, developing, and monitoring EHSCCP program services, policies and procedure at each of the EHSCCP partner sites
What it takes:
- BA/ BS or MA in ECE, Social Work, Family Studies, or related or Education with any combination of either an emphasis in ECE, Social Work or Family Development
- Infant Toddler Work Experience and Supervisory Experience
- Knowledge of DAP and Second Language Learners/ Language Acquisition
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to speak, write, and read Spanish preferred
- Certification in First Aid/CPR, Food Handler’s Card, and Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- Functional knowledge of Daycare Licensing Requirements
- Knowledge of Child Protective Services reporting mandates
- Possess an insured & reliable vehicle and a valid AZ driver’s license
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card - OR - must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Strength and Mobility:
- Ability to lift 35 - 50 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, bend, and squat to child’s eye level for appropriate amounts of time.
- Ability to sit for periods of time on the floor with children.
- Ability to get up and down from floor without assistance.
- Ability to run after a child, if necessary.
- Ability to climb flights of stairs.
- Ability to play with children, skip, run, and hop.
