Description
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required with additional technical training in area of specialty.
- Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred.
- Previous experience in endoscopy or related clinical setting preferred/ Knowledge of on the job training.
- Knowledge of hospital inventory and stocking procedures helpful.
- Certification in Basic Life Support required.
Work Hours
We are seeking a full-time (36 hours/week) Endoscopy Technician to work 4-5 days per week (Monday- Friday) in our Surgery Department. Hours vary between 7am-5pm.
Job Summary
The Endoscopy Technician provides support in the endoscopy suite by preparing and maintaining equipment, assisting physicians and nurses during procedures, cleaning of scope/room post procedure, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires knowledge of high-level disinfection, proper handling of endoscopic instruments, and adherence to infection control standards.
