Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field required.
- Five years’ prior marketing and/or communications experience required, preferably in health care setting.
- Prior ad agency experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite applications required.
Work Hours
We are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) Director of Marketing and Communications to work Monday- Friday, 8:00am- 4:30pm.
Job Summary
Plans, organizes, develops, directs, manages, coordinates, and evaluates Southwest Health’s Marketing and Communications Department to effectively align constituents with the organization’s mission, vision, and goals.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Oversees the creative development and production of advertising and the placement of materials in media.
- Oversees the organization’s use of social media.
- Administers the design, functionality, content, and search engine marketing functions related to SH’s web presence.
- Provides effective administration of a marketing database and executes strategies and tactics to improve/grow the database.
- Establishes appropriate outreach programs and initiatives the impact community health.
- Creates public communications materials that are impactful yet truthful, fair, accurate, honest, and sensitive to audiences.
- Administers and maintains the community benefit reporting system.
- Supports the efforts of the SHC Foundation through communications consultation, creative production, writing, editing, and other functions as necessary and appropriate.
- Adheres to Southwest Health’s value-based behavior standards.
- Understands and adheres to Southwest Health compliance and HIPAA standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
