What are the responsibilities and job description for the Southwest Guidance Center Employment Specialist position at Southwest Guidance Center?
The Employment Specialist assists adults living with mental illness to gain independence and maintain work in community employments. The Employment Specialist will be provided training in Individual Placement and Support (IPS), and evidence-based model for supported employment.
Qualifications
1. Must be at least 21 years old
2. Must have a valid driver’s license
3. Must have a BA/BS with emphasis in the Human Service field, preferred, or an Associate degree with a minimum of two-years’ experience in a related Human Service field.
4. Must be able to follow an evidence-based practice as trained
