THIS IS A FULL-TIME 2nd SHIFT POSITION. SHIFT BEGINS AT 4:00PM DAILY.
The Pipe Wheelabrator Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring the Wheelabrator machine to prepare pipe for the galvanizing process. This role ensures pipe is cleaned, descaled, and properly prepared to meet quality standards before entering the galvanizing line.
Duties
- Operate and monitor the pipe Wheelabrator machine safely and efficiently.
- Load, feed, and unload pipe sections into the Wheelabrator system.
- Inspect pipe before and after blasting to ensure proper cleaning and preparation.
- Perform routine checks and adjustments to maintain proper machine operation.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
- Follow established production schedules and meet output requirements.
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and support other areas of the galvanizing process as needed.

- Lift 50 pounds form the ground to shoulder or higher
- Must always have high awareness of safety (wear PPE)

- The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
- Frequent lifting of material up to 20 pounds
- Occasional lifting of material up to 50 pounds
- Material handling
- Seasonal outdoor temperatures – shade, drinking water, shelter during rainstorms provided
- Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and moving equipment.
