Title 1 Paraprofessional

Summary:
The Title 1 Paraprofessional at Southwest Elementary is responsible for assisting teachers and students in a variety of ways to support academic achievement. This is a full-time position that involves working closely with teachers, administrators, and students to ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning objectives and provide additional support as needed
• Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers and parents about student performance
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices and strategies for supporting student achievement
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or classroom teacher

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and grow in the role
• Ability to pass a background check and meet other employment requirements as needed.
