Dexter Public Schools is seeking applicants for Principal of Southwest Elementary (Grades Pre-K-2) for the 2026-2027 school year.
Job qualifications for elementary principal include the following:
- Preference given to administrative experience
- Preference given to a minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience
- Preference given to administrative and/or teaching experience in the elementary grades
- A valid Missouri elementary principal’s certificate
- Required Master’s degree and pursuit toward a Specialist’s degree expected
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
This position is a 200-day contracted employment, following the school calendar for holiday observances. Starting teacher pay begins at $40,000. The index is based off of the teacher salary schedule commensurate with degrees and years of experience.
