Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Warehouse/Driver to join our team. This position involves both warehouse duties and driving responsibilities, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, as well as familiarity with various types of vehicles and equipment used in the logistics industry.
Duties
- Operate a variety of vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers for deliveries.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Navigate designated routes for timely deliveries while maintaining accurate delivery logs.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, picking, packing, and organizing products.
- Utilize forklifts and other machinery as needed to facilitate loading and unloading processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in truck driving.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment is a plus.
- Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in both driving and warehouse operations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to follow schedules effectively.
