Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and passionate Ballet and Hip-Hop Instructors to inspire and engage students of all ages through dynamic dance education. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels in ballet and hip-hop styles
- Lead engaging, energetic dance classes that emphasize technique, rhythm, expression, and stage presence
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, respectful, and motivating environment for all students
- Adapt lesson plans to meet individual student needs, including those with special education requirements or early childhood development considerations
- Foster creativity through choreography, improvisation exercises, and performance opportunities
- Incorporate photography or video documentation of student progress and performances for promotional or educational purposes
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or adult learners to track progress and provide constructive feedback on performance improvements
Experience
- Proven experience teaching ballet and hip-hop dance styles to diverse age groups, including children, preschoolers, and adults
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within a dance or arts education setting
- Experience working with children or in early childhood education environments; familiarity with childhood development principles is a plus
- Knowledge of theater arts or stage performance techniques that enhance dance instruction
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a fun and inclusive atmosphere
- Prior experience incorporating additional skills such as sewing for costume creation or photography for documenting performances is advantageous
- Demonstrated commitment to working with students of varying abilities, including those requiring special education accommodations
