Position Summary
The Epoxy/Resinous Flooring Crew Leader/Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing epoxy and resinous flooring installation crews on commercial construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent provides technical leadership, oversees field operations, coordinates with project managers and general contractors, and maintains productivity, safety, and craftsmanship across all resinous coating applications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate epoxy/resinous flooring crews
- Manage day-to-day field operations on commercial coating projects
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and product data sheets
- Ensure proper surface prep, moisture testing, shot blasting, griding, and coating installation
- Oversee mixing ratios, cure times, environmental conditions, and application techniques
- Monitor quality control to ensure manufacturer and project spec compliance
- Coordinate scheduling, manpower, and material deliveries
- Communicate daily progress to Project Managers and Division leadership
- Maintain project timelines and productivity goals
- Train and mentor crew members in proper installation techniques
- Complete daily field reports and documentation
- Track materials and equipment usage
- Participate in project and safety meetings
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Ensure crew compliance with OSHA standards
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5 years of commercial epoxy/resinous flooring experience
- 2 years of crew leadership or superintendent-level experience
- Strong product knowledge in all aspects of commercial coating systems
