Role Description
SBU is seeking a full-time Associate Director of Club Sports for its on-site campus in Bolivar, MO. This role involves managing and overseeing the university's club sports programs, providing leadership to coaches and student-athletes, and coordinating sports activities and events. Responsibilities include organizing schedules, maintaining compliance with university policies, providing coaching support, fostering student engagement, and promoting a positive sports culture that aligns with the university's Christ-centered values.
Qualifications
- Background in Physical Education and Sports Management
- Strong skills in Communication, including the ability to coordinate with coaches, staff, and students effectively
- Experience in Coaching and a comprehensive understanding of various Sports disciplines
- Ability to manage administrative tasks and program development within an educational setting
- Commitment to fostering a Christ-centered and inclusive environment
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred
- Previous experience in managing sports or recreational programs is a plus
