Southwest Audio Visual, Inc. is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Installer to join our team. We’re looking for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic, excellent technical skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality installations for our residential clients.
Responsibilities
- Install and service audio-visual equipment in residential and/or commercial settings
- Install and wire audio, video, and control systems, including displays, speakers, projectors, LED walls, cameras, and DSPs.
- Pull, terminate, test, and label low-voltage cabling (Cat6/Cat6A, speaker wire, control wire, fiber, etc.).
- Rack-mount, dress, and organize AV equipment to professional standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues during installation and commissioning.
- Read and interpret AV system drawings, schematics, and installation plans.
- Maintain a professional work environment and follow job-site expectations, including limited personal phone use during working hours so projects remain safe and efficient.
- Collaborate with project managers and fellow technicians to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Provide on-site client communication and support as needed.
- Work with basic power tools and equipment for installation tasks
- Collaborate with team members or work independently as needed
- Travel occasionally for projects (overnight stays required; company covers expenses)
Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Commercial or residential AV installation
- Strong understanding of AV components: Install and wire audio, video, and control systems.
- Low voltage/data cabling
- Electrical/electrician work
- Construction background
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills with tools
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (Class E license or ability to obtain)
- Ability to not
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
