What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Analyst position at Southwest Accounting Resources, Inc?
We are seeking a motivated Tax Analyst to join a collaborative team and support corporate tax compliance and reporting. This position offers exposure to multi-entity operations, a stable environment with great work-life balance (40 hours/week outside of occasional deadlines) and a collaborative group.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
- Maintain tax records and documentation for audits
- Assist with tax planning and strategies to minimize liabilities
- Support month-end and year-end close processes related to tax provisions
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on the business
- Assist with sales/use tax, property tax, and other indirect tax filings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years of C-Corp tax preparation experience
- Multistate experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Experience with tax software and ERP systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Team player with strong communication and adaptability
