What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales and Use Tax Accountant position at Southwest Accounting Resources, Inc?
Our client in North Phoenix is looking for an Indirect Tax. The Indirect Tax Analyst will support the corporate office accounting department by preparing indirect tax returns, assist with audits and research tax compliance rules and regulations. Hybrid work schedule with three days in office, and two WFH.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review indirect tax returns including: Sales, Use, Property and Excise
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly indirect tax accruals
• Respond to tax authority inquiries
• Perform indirect tax research and analysis as needed and communicate and implement findings to various internal and external stakeholders
• Work with other organizations within the company explaining indirect tax laws
• Perform other duties as requested by leadership
Background Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in indirect taxation
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with SAP preferred
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to independently identify and resolve issues
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines
