Principal Wireless Engineer - Hanover, MD
SouthTek Resources is actively searching for a Principal Engineer experienced in a Product Design and Lead Architecture role performing wireless software development team leadership with an emphasis on embedded Object-Oriented (OO) techniques.
An active Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
Responsibilities:
• The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of Software Defined Radio (SDR) components while leading a competent team of embedded software engineers
• Implement proof-of-concept ideas to improve wireless network operation or wireless security
• Gather spoken system / software requirements from customers and derive system / software / network specifications
• Document implementation conditions, configuration files and create product diagrams, and present to peers and superiors
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Minimum BSEE degree (MSEE Preferred) and 8 years of design experience including at least 3 years of team leadership experience is required.
• Strong experience with radio/wireless software Development
• Strong experience with RF (Radio Frequency) Development
• Strong C / C , and Assembly languages Development
• Object-Oriented, software Design/Development using CAE tools (preferably UML)
• Real-Time Operating Systems and embedded processing applications experience required
• U.S. Citizenship. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
