Position Overview
SouthTech Treasure Coast is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Medical Academy Instructor to teach middle and/or high school students in a career-focused healthcare program. The ideal candidate will inspire students to pursue careers in the medical field while providing engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction in medical and health science courses
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards and career/technical education frameworks
- Prepare students for industry certifications
- Incorporate hands-on labs, simulations, and real-world applications into instruction
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom/lab environment
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback
- Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and industry partners
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field
- Valid Florida Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain certification
- Experience in healthcare (e.g., nursing, medical assisting, EMT, etc.)
- Prior teaching or training experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Passion for working with middle and high school students
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications (CMA, CNA, EMT, RN, etc.)
- Experience in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs
- Familiarity with certification programs and testing requirements

Pay: $53,200.00 - $67,900.00 per year
