Multimedia Instructor

SouthTech Schools is seeking a creative, innovative, and student-centered Middle School Multimedia Instructor to inspire students through digital media, technology, and creative design. The instructor will provide engaging, hands-on instruction in multimedia production, including graphic design, video production, photography, digital storytelling, animation, and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will foster creativity, technical skills, collaboration, and career readiness while creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging multimedia curriculum aligned with state standards and school objectives.
• Teach students the fundamentals of digital media production, including graphic design, photography, video editing, animation, and web-based content creation.
• Integrate industry-standard software and technology into classroom instruction.
• Guide students in creating multimedia projects that demonstrate creativity, technical proficiency, and critical thinking.
• Maintain and manage multimedia equipment, computer labs, cameras, and related technology.
• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback on assignments and projects.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff on school-wide media projects and events.
• Encourage student participation in competitions, showcases, and career exploration opportunities.
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
• Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school activities as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Multimedia, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Communications, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Valid Florida Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Experience working with middle school students preferred.
• Knowledge of multimedia software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, video editing software, and digital content creation tools.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to integrate technology effectively into instruction.
• Industry certifications in multimedia, digital design, or related fields are a plus.
