SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
It is the responsibility of the Senior Financial Advisor to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position is responsible for wealth management client acquisition and service delivery for Private Capital Management, LLC (PCM), a subsidiary of SouthState Bank. Responsible for client relationship development and management and wealth management planning. May also provide mentorship and possibly management of Advisors, Financial Planners and Portfolio Managers.
Educate prospective clients on Private Capital Management's service offering, value proposition, and investment philosophy
Seeks to grow assets under management through referrals and new business opportunities
Engage in networking opportunities to increase assets under management and promote the growth of the firm
Leverage bank colleagues at SouthState Bank to drive client referrals
Provides ethical and objective, holistic financial planning and investment advice to clients.
Provide asset allocation recommendations and portfolio analysis for clients based on the guidance of the centralized Investment Committee
Reviews investment performance reports, financial document summaries, and/or income projections with clients
Recommends to client strategies, in cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning or other areas to help them achieve their financial goals
Monitors for changes in client circumstances and opportunities to provide additional asset management or financial planning services
Maintains consistent communication with clients
Maintains awareness, understanding and compliance with SouthState's Team Member Manual, internal policies and procedures, laws and regulations that are appropriate for his/her position
Demonstrates the bank's core values
Ensures that all activities and work functions comply with compliance requirements as defined in company policies and procedures and state/federal laws and regulations

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements
Bachelor's degree
10 years' experience providing demonstrated financial and investment advice to high net worth and ultra-high net worth client relationships
Proven track record of recruiting new clients and meeting or exceeding growth goals
7 years' experience working in a financial institution to generate new client opportunities
Chartered Financial analyst (CFA) certification, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification or comparable designation
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES
Required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk basis. This position may require bending and reaching.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is located in a private office.Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered.
TRAVEL
Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
