POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Healthy Living Coach, under the direction of the Director/Coordinator- Healthy Living & Wellness will assist with the operation and implementation of the YMCA Mission Retention strategy. This strategy includes Floor Engagement, Healthy Living/Wellness Coaching Sessions, and Daxko Engage.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create a safe and secure environment for all members, guests and visitors in the Wellness Center.
- Monitor Wellness Floor to ensure an exceptional member experience. (I.e. re-rack weights, clean machines, remove trash and debris, replenish towels, log maintenance issues related to equipment, etc.)
- Engage all members, guests, visitors with superior customer services. Greeting all with a friendly smile and offer of support.
- Provide mentorship and fitness/wellness coaching for all facility members who require it.
- Successfully complete the YMCA Mission Retention/Engage training within first 90 days of employment.
- Work with the Engage Kiosk on the Wellness Floor to actively engage all New Members, Low Engage and Critical Members. Logging notes and tasks as required.
- Work with Director, Member Services and/or Healthy Living Coordinator to conduct engage task related calls to schedule wellness sessions and check-ins.
- Accurately and timely log all details of member interactions (either live or over the phone) in Daxko Engage notes section. Training and support will be provided.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- One year experience in health-related field
- Pursuing a degree in Exercise Science, Wellness Health Promotion or related health field preferred.
- Excellent customer service and general office skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
- Basic knowledge of computers and general office equipment.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, changing, and diverse environment.
- Must become First Aid, CPR, and AED certified – Training provided.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
HOURS: Mornings, Evenings and Weekends
Must have the physical, visual and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Position regularly requires the ability to do word processing, data entry and filing for several hours at a time.
Position may require, sitting, bending, leaning and kneeling on an occasional basis.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in order to perform essential functions.
