The Urology division provides comprehensive treatments for prostate health, kidney diseases, urinary tract infections, and cancers of the bladder and prostate. The Nephrology division, founded in 1972, focuses on diagnosing and managing kidney diseases, hypertension, diabetes-related complications, dialysis and post transplant care. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Nephrologist role based in Danville, VA. The Nephrologist will manage the diagnosis and care of patients with kidney and related conditions, including acute and chronic kidney disease, dialysis, and post-transplant management. Daily responsibilities include inpatient consultations, outpatient clinic services, supervision of dialysis sessions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Nephrologist will also play an integral role in the development of individualized treatment plans and provide expert guidance in interventional nephrology procedures.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Nephrology, Dialysis, and Hemodialysis
- Experience with Transplant management and post-transplant care
- Strong foundations in medical principles and patient care
- Proficiency in managing both acute and chronic kidney diseases
- Familiarity with interventional nephrology practices
- Board certification or eligibility in Nephrology
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Virginia (or ability to obtain one)
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
