Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register efficiently, accurately processing sales transactions and handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and providing product information or demos when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly stocked and displayed for easy access.
- Assist customers with upselling products and store promotions to enhance their shopping experience and increase sales.
- Manage cash drawer handling responsibly, balancing registers at the start and end of each shift while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Support merchandising efforts by restocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date for effective selling.
- Communicate clearly with team members using phone etiquette and teamwork skills to ensure smooth store operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred; familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability in retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
