We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Flooring Specialist to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring a variety of flooring materials across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsibilities

• Install a wide range of flooring types including epoxy, vinyl, hardwood, tile, carpet, and laminate with precision and attention to detail.
• Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayments or adhesives for optimal flooring adhesion.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install flooring materials efficiently.
• Perform floor refinishing tasks such as buffing, sanding, sealing, and water damage restoration to restore floors to their best condition.
• Handle manual tasks including lifting heavy materials, trimming trim carpentry pieces, caulking joints, and installing fixtures or cabinetry as needed.
• Maintain strict adherence to building installation safety compliance standards and ensure a clean and organized work site at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in flooring installation including epoxy floors, hardwoods, vinyl, tile laying, carpet installation, and floor refinishing.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical schematics or blueprints.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as chisels, hammers, saws; power tools including drills and sanders; and specialized equipment for flooring projects.
• Familiarity with building material installation techniques across various flooring types and water damage restoration methods.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy materials or equipment on construction sites.
• Construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety protocols related to flooring installation projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read construction plans accurately and adapt to project changes swiftly.
• Additional skills in caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, remodeling activities, concrete finishing, construction painting, buffing techniques, cabinetry setup, handyman tasks, schematics interpretation and restoration industry experience are highly desirable.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
