Overview
Join a dynamic specialty dental practice (endodontics) as a Front Desk Receptionist, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will be at the heart of delivering exceptional patient experiences. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth clinic operations by managing appointments, insurance verifications, and dental records and claims. This paid position is flexible. Work 2-4 days a week, in arrangement with another employee. Experienced applicants only, but training is available for software/office procedures. Bilingual Spanish is a plus!
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software (TDO).
- Verify insurance coverage ensuring accurate billing and claims processing.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating medical records and collecting necessary documentation.
- Handle phone system with courtesy and professionalism, demonstrating strong phone etiquette and clear communication.
- Maintain organized filing systems for dental records and insurance documents while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with dental billing tasks such as claims submission and taking payments.
- Support office management duties including appointment reminders, and patient intake procedures.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless clinic operations and uphold high standards of patient care.
Skills
- Proven experience in dental office administration or medical administrative support.
- Familiarity with dental office software such as TDO, PBS Endo or Dentrix is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle phone calls and in-person interactions confidently.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing medical records and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new software systems; experience with hospital or clinic settings is advantageous.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
