Southside Community Health Services (SCHS) is a mission-driven nonprofit clinic in South Minneapolis seeking an Advanced Dental Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered dental care. This role supports SCHS’s commitment to improving oral health access through integrated, team-based care.

About the Role

The Advanced Dental Therapist provides dental services within scope of licensure while collaborating closely with the care team to remove barriers to care. This position balances direct patient care with clinical leadership, documentation excellence, and adherence to SCHS workflows and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dental treatment within Advanced Dental Therapist scope, following best-practice standards
  • Support integrated, interprofessional care and improve patient access
  • Maintain compliance with SCHS policies, documentation standards, and EHR best practices
  • Complete peer reviews and support quality and risk management initiatives
  • Assist with training, mentoring, and daily support of dental staff
  • Maintain collaborative management agreement and required licensure/credentialing
  • Complete administrative responsibilities and full patient contact hours based on FTE
  • Participate in staff meetings, committees, and clinic operations

Qualifications

  • Dental Therapist must have graduated from a dental therapy education program approved by the Board of Dentistry or accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
  • Advanced Dental Therapy certificate required.
  • Valid and active Minnesota license required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Licenses and certifications in good standing.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $124,800.00 per year
