We currently have over 100 local churches represented in the student body.
Role Description
This is a part-time (3 days a week) on-site role for an Elementary STEM Teacher. The Elementary STEM Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing STEM curriculum, teaching elementary students, fostering a positive learning environment, and effectively communicating with students, parents, and faculty. The STEM Teacher will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to implement effective hands-on learning to make the classroom material come alive. Each of our classrooms is capped at 15 students.
In addition to teaching, we are seeking teachers with a heart to invest in the lives of students. Our mission is to impact the next generation for Christ by developing intellectual leaders who are developing a Biblical worldview.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- A growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- A member in good standing at a church with biblical doctrine consistent with Southside Christian's statement of faith
- Previous experience in teaching or mentoring is a plus
