The On-Call Mobile Crisis Services Therapist plays a vital role in responding to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. This position provides immediate, trauma-informed mental health assessment, intervention, and stabilization services across a variety of settings including homes, community spaces, hospital emergency departments, and over the phone. The therapist works as part of a mobile crisis team to ensure timely, compassionate, and clinically appropriate responses to psychiatric emergencies. Shift: Variable, including evenings, weekends, holidays.
The flat rate is $150.00 per shift. If a call is received or a pre-screen is conducted:
- 1 to 90 minutes: $150.00
- 91 to 180 minutes: $200.00
- Over 180 minutes: $250.00
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to crisis calls during assigned on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Conduct risk assessments and determine the level of care needed (e.g., outpatient support, hospitalization).
- Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and short-term support for individuals experiencing psychiatric, emotional, or behavioral crises.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, schools, and community agencies to ensure coordinated care.
- Make referrals to mental health and substance use treatment services and assist with linkage as needed.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in compliance with agency, state, and funding requirements.
- Participate in clinical supervision and training as required.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Licensure in [LCSW, LPC, LMFT].
- Prior experience in crisis intervention, emergency psychiatric services, or behavioral health referred.
- Experience working with diverse populations and high-risk individuals (e.g., severe mental illness, co-occurring disorders, youth in crisis).
- Must meet all criminal background and drug screening requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record, required.
