Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers. The Childcare Provider will be responsible for fostering developmental skills through play and structured activities while ensuring the well-being of each child in their care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Provide care for toddlers, including diaper changing, feeding, and comforting as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized play area to ensure safety.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and daily activities.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
- Administer first aid when necessary and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with other childcare staff to create a cohesive learning environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare settings such as nannying, preschool, or classroom environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development is essential.
- Experience working with children of various ages, particularly toddlers, is highly valued.
- Familiarity with first aid practices is a plus.
