Essential Functions:
- Services syndicated and participated loans. Establishes relationships with members and participants for terms conforming to agency relationship as specified in the loan documents. Prioritizes competing demands and timeframes.
- Understands loan documentation for participation/syndication loans and be able to read and interpret complex Credit Agreements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely funding requests. Requests and collects funds from participant and member banks.
- Post fees, charges and interest payments when received. Works with Agent bank and/or member banks to reconcile transactions. Distributes fees and payments to participants and/or member banks in a timely manner.
- Review daily reports to ensure all maintenance, payments, and advances have been completed properly.
- Resolve customer, agent bank, participating bank inquires and disputes by troubleshooting and researching problems.
- Boards facilities for syndications/participations to the core system, which includes renewals, modifications, and processes maintenance transactions relating to these facilities.
- Communicate with lines of business partners, managers, and other operations partners regarding loan transactions, research, and exceptions.
- Perform routine duties with minimal supervision using standard practices or procedures.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Perform duties as assigned to reach team goals.
- Knowledge of financial institution policies, procedures and regulations preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing Agent Bank responsibilities for syndicated and/or participated loans within a loan operations environment.
- Strong understanding of loan syndication/participation processes, booking, and funding procedures.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of Jack Henry/Silverlake core operating system is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Windows 7, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Intermediate skills in understanding and working with database input/output.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated and a self-starter.
- Excellent customer service skills, and experience in direct customer interface environments is preferred.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Works with fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to visit other offices, conference rooms, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and telephone.
- Constantly positions self to operate on a computer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with other people throughout each day. Must be able to exchange accurate information when conversing.
- Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
- Moderate noise (e.g. business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
- Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Available for overtime as needed to complete job task.
- Participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
