Southport General Store –Now Hiring, Full-Time, FOH Management Position for Island General Store.

A Popular Culinary Destination, The Southport General Store is a full service, quaint Island grocery, serving Pizza, Sandwiches, Baked Goods, and Homemade Grab and Go meals. We offer Event Catering, a vast selection of Wine, Beer, and Beverage, and an amazing community to share it with.

The FOH Management position is a shared position, working alongside and with support and collaboration from the Co-FOH Manager, Barn Manager, and Chef/GM

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operating cash register and learning/knowing/training our team on our software(lightspeed)

Serving customers, learning our menus, representing our products, and food to the community and visitors.

Making Sandwiches, Pizzas, Coffee, Coffee Drinks, Stocking Shelves, Receiving Orders, Assist in planning special events, wine tastings, workshops, hiring and training staff, scheduling

Keeping a clean, safe, and operational store and workplace

The Roles

Front of House. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing position with plenty of variety. Team members rotate between different tasks, including:

Front of the House

• Customer Service & Cashiering – Greeting guests, ringing up purchases, and providing helpful service.
• Stocking & Organizing – Restocking drinks, snacks, groceries, beer & wine, and keeping displays tidy.
• Cleaning & Safety – Dishwashing, sweeping/mopping, and end-of-day clean-up.
• Food Prep & Counter Service – Making sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and brewing coffee.

What We're Looking For

• Professional, Friendly, Reliable, and Responsible individuals with a positive attitudes and team mentality
• Flexibility to rotate between tasks, stations, follow directions, and maintain quality and standards
• Comfort working on your feet 8-10 hours a day
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (cases of soda, dough boxes, produce boxes).
• Willingness to learn food prep and safe knife/equipment use.
• Weekend and holiday availability
