Join our vibrant team as a Food Runner/Prep Support at SPT Coffee Co & Kitchen, where your energy and passion for customer service will shine! You will be the vital link between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring timely delivery of delicious dishes and assisting with food prep to keep our operations running smoothly. Pay includes a base hourly pay of $11/hour plus daily tips. You’re guaranteed to make a total of at least $17/hour or we make up the difference as long as you stay through Labor Day.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests, maintaining quality and presentation standards
• Assist with food preparation tasks, including plating, garnishing, and portioning ingredients to support kitchen operations
• Support the serving team by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and ensuring guest areas remain clean and inviting
• Potentially learn to operate the register (Clover POS)
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders during busy service periods
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests when possible

Requirements

• Minimum age of 16 years old with a strong interest in customer service
• Eagerness to learn is essential
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
• Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods during shifts
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and interact with guests
• Experience with POS systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
• Previous food service experience is advantageous but not necessary; a positive attitude and willingness to grow are key
