What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Supervisor position at Southport Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation?
Southport Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking experienced RN Supervisors to join our team.
Candidates must have an up-to-date CT RN License as well as prior Nursing Home experience.
Job Duties Include:
· Direct day to day functions of nursing care in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
· Ensure that all nursing service personnel are following their respective job descriptions.
· Assist in the process of admitting, transferring, discharging residents as necessary.
· Greet and assess all new admissions.
· Monitor accident/incident reportable events for accuracy and completeness: submit to appropriate administrative staff as per facility policy.
· Provide leadership that includes administrative and supervisory principles.
· Assist with or conduct staff meetings and in-services as required.
· Review resident care plans to ensure appropriate care is being rendered.
· Review grievances made by residents and/or family members and make a written or oral report to the DNS or forward to the Social Service department, indicating what actions were taken to resolve the complaint or grievance.
· Review Nursing documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness in information and descriptions. Monitor documentation to include nursing care given and resident response to care. Monitor change of conditions are addressed in nurses notes. RCP, and 24 hours report sheets. Provide follow up with appropriate staff if documentation does not meet standards. Conduct rounds with physicians as necessary.
· Participate in survey (inspection) conducted by authorized government agencies.
· Provide written and/or oral reports or recommendations concerning the activities or your shift as required.
· Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, report, evaluations, studies, charting, administrator on call, facility’s Quality Assurance program, etc. as necessary.
· Follows published guidance from the CDC and Department of Public Health regarding the current public health emergency

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
