Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will support the billing and collections process by preparing customer invoices, processing payments, maintaining customer accounts, and assisting with various accounting functions. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn accounting principles in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely.
- Review supporting documentation to ensure billing accuracy.
- Apply customer payments to accounts and reconcile payment discrepancies.
- Monitor customer account balances and assist with collections activities.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding invoices, payment status, and account inquiries.
- Maintain customer records and billing information.
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations.
- Support month-end closing activities.
- Work closely with operations and project management teams to resolve billing issues.
- Prepare reports and schedules as requested by management.
- Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Internship, coursework, or prior office experience in accounting, finance, or administration.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems.

Compensation & Benefits
Expected Salary Range: $37,000 – $41,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
