Duties
- Contacts customers and business, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
- Responsible for and will comply with all of the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Community Reinvestment Act, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other related regulations.
- Maintains and stays abreast of security policies and procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of Branch policies and procedures with respect to approving checks, overdrafts and overrides financial institution.
- Handles customer problems and complaints; counsels customers with special needs or requests.
- Accepts and processes loan applications.
- Approves scheduling of employees for vacation, sick: leave, or in-house training.
- Approves Branch bills for processing in a timely manner.
- Leads monthly security and staff meetings.
- Maintains the interior and exterior of the Branch by calling and scheduling necessary maintenance is completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for branch CIP and signature card compliance.
- Preparation of monthly reports which includes reports such as audit new accounts and CIP reports.
- Be well versed in all client service specialist functions to be able to cross train as needed.
- Ensure client service specialist have a good working knowledge of products and services offered
- Provide complete customer service in the new accounts process, efficiently opening new accounts, process paperwork and assist customers in the signing of documents.
- Monitors client service specialist to ensure compliance with established security procedures and bank policies.
- Assist client service specialist in locating cash discrepancies; handle unusual customer transactions and answer difficult customer questions.
Experience
- Three to Five years of related experience in the banking industry, with one to three years of experience in a supervisory role required.
- Strong background in retail math, cash handling.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, customer service excellence, and managerial communication.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff members.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
