Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Overnight Emergency Veterinarian for a full-time, on-site position at our West Omaha, Nebraska location. The Emergency Veterinarian will provide critical care and treatment to animal patients, communicate effectively with pet owners, and collaborate with our veterinary team. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, performing emergency surgeries, evaluating diagnostic tests, and ensuring the highest level of patient care. The role also involves educating pet owners on post-treatment care.
Qualifications
- Strong veterinary clinical skills, including diagnostic and treatment planning for both common and complex conditions
- Experience in emergency procedures, such as triage, surgical intervention, and critical care
- Advanced communication skills for client education and team collaboration
- Proficiency in using veterinary diagnostic tools and technology
- Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Nebraska or ability to attain licensure within 3 months of starting
- Dedication to continued learning and staying updated on veterinary medicine advancements
- Previous experience in an emergency veterinary setting is a plus
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree required
