Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Cost Estimator/Project Manager Assistant to support our construction projects. This role involves assisting with project planning, cost estimation, and coordination to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in construction management software, project scheduling, and blueprint reading, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. This position offers valuable experience in construction project management and cost estimation processes.
Duties
- Assist in preparing detailed construction cost estimates.
- Support project scheduling activitie construction management tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate project scope understanding.
- Coordinate with project teams to gather necessary data for cost analysis and scheduling updates.
- Contribute to the development of project budgets and track costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in managing project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
- Support site visits to gather on-the-ground information relevant to project progress and costs.
- Help maintain accurate records of project timelines, resource allocation, and contract compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers to facilitate effective communication among stakeholders.
Experience
- Proven experience with construction estimating, project management, or related roles within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, contracts, and construction site operations.
- Experience in project scheduling and coordination within large-scale construction projects.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with excellent time management skills under pressure.
- Prior experience working on construction sites is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and protocols is a plus.
