Southland Polymers is seeking an experienced, high-energy, and motivated salesperson to lead the Illinois and Midwest sales efforts for a growing distributor of engineering and commodity thermoplastics with 46 years of history.

The ideal candidate should be outgoing, aggressive in work habits, and have a proven record of success. We are looking for someone who can grow the territory and expand our footprint in the Midwest.

Position: Regional Account Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Develop both market and customer-specific sales plans.
  • Maintain a constantly updated list of leads and targets, ensuring the sales pipeline is always full.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites to conduct business in person.
  • Collaborate with the management team to craft and implement sales and closing strategies, directly assisting with closes when necessary.
  • Aggressively follow up on leads and track sales pipeline progress.
  • Develop and execute quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Report to management daily, or more frequently as business activities and deal flow warrant.
  • Use CRM (Salesforce.com) to actively track, monitor, and manage performance among the sales team.
  • Up to 60% travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience selling technical products.
  • At least 10 years in an industrial sales capacity.
  • Prior experience selling industrial products in a B2B setting.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce.com), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
