Responsibilities/Duties:
- Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals
- Assist in management of project permit process
- Assist is preparation of bid packages and procurement
- Receive and review change orders
- Assist more senior civil engineers with entry level engineering tasks
- Assist with performing onsite construction administration and construction observation
- Services including reporting/monitoring contractor's compliance with contract documents
- Evaluates change order requests including design changes, specifications and drawing
- Evaluates submittals of shop drawings, material data and samples and takes appropriate
- Action based upon contract specifications
- Reviews and processes as-built drawings to ensure that all changes during the course
- Completes project close out requirements in accordance with contract documents
- Coordinates meeting agendas, prepares minutes and follows up on action items
- Maintains effective and professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers
- Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Construction/related degree with 1-5 years construction experience
- Excellent computer skills and analytical ability
- Experience working with Primavera P6, AutoCad
- Understanding of industrial construction process
- MUST - Experience in civil, infrastructure to include: Tunneling, heavy highway, DOT projects, pipeline, water treatment, marine, etc
- Must have ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings
- Knowledge of contract procedures and principles
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
- Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex projects
