Southland Construction, Inc. is a general contractor providing vertical, heavy highway, and utility construction services in Florida since 1977. Southland has employed as many as 240 full time experienced people with a wide variety of talents second to none in the construction industry. We perform services for both public and private clients with jobs ranging from $200,000 to $100 million.

SCI is looking for individuals to do physical labor on our construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sites by cleaning them, loading or unloading materials and removing hazards
• Run some types of equipment or put together and take apart scaffolding and other temporary structures
• Help foreman, carpenters, and other skilled workers when necessary
• Remove, fill, or compact earth
• Follow instructions from supervisors
• Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary
• Other responsibilities as required
  
  

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
• Ability to work in all weather
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Experience as a general laborer in the construction industry is preferred
