Job Responsibilities Pipe Foreman
- Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to review project specifications and plan pipe installation sequencing.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the pipe crew, ensuring compliance with project timelines and specifications.
- Operate and oversee heavy equipment during excavation, installation, and backfilling of large pipes and culverts.Conduct site inspections to assess work sequencing, identify hazards, and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture; uphold company policies and safety standards.
- Plan pipe installation to minimize conflicts with other project activities and minimize impact to the traveling public.
- Monitor and maintain equipment performance; troubleshoot and verify mechanical repairs when needed.
- Utilize instruments such as lasers, grade rods, and levels to set pipe grades accurately.

- Ensure workmanship quality and schedule adherence through daily inspections.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and drawings accurately.
- Extensive hands-on experience with underground utility systems (water, sewer, storm drainage).
- Proven leadership in managing crews and coordinating on-site pipe installation activities.
- Proficiency in laying and inspecting both gravity sewer pipes (4"–24") and pressure pipes (4"–36") including fittings.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
- Own a personal basic set of hand tools.
Physical:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a construction environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally more.
- Capable of working outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat, humidity, uneven terrain).
- Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, twist, bend, and reach.
- Strong visual, auditory, and manual coordination necessary for equipment operation and site work.
We are looking for a pipe foreman and a crew to join our team. The pipe foreman needs to have experience supervising and coordinating the day-to-day tasks related to: laying of sanitary/storm sewer pipelines, lays pipe to form water, sewer, or storm sewer pipelines, setting up laser and other engineering instruments to install pipelines at proposed elevations.
